As a Pastor of Generational Ministries for kids from birth through sixth grade, Sara oversees spiritual development, discipleship, and family engagement of children. She works towards creating programs and environments that nurture faith and build community. She is passionate about teaching children their identity in Christ by helping them develop a lifelong relationship with Jesus, grow in their faith, and feel valued as part of the church body. Sara has been a member of Trinity Fellowship Decatur since 2015 and was thrilled to join the staff team in 2017. She served as Heroland Preschool Director from 2018-2020. In 2021, Sara took on the role of Generations Pastor, serving and overseeing children's ministry of children birth - 6th grade. Sara holds an undergraduate degree in psychology and a master’s degree in child development. During her time in school, she worked as an Applied Behavior Analyst working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Sara loves working with children and their families and brings 10+ years of formal education to her role. Sara and her husband, Austin, were married in 2014 and together have one son, Maverick.
